Former St. Joseph County Prosecutor John McDonough was arrested last month on an alcohol-related charge.
According to the Three Rivers Commercial-News, the 44-year-old McDonough was arrested on a charge of operating while intoxicated – second offense – shortly before 10 p.m. Oct. 30 in Three Rivers.
The Commercial-News stated a vehicle allegedly driven by McDonough was stopped on West Michigan Avenue for an equipment violation. The arresting officer stated in his report that McDonough showed visible signs of impairment, including watery and bloodshot eyes.
A blood-alcohol level of .092 was recorded following a breathalyzer test.
McDonough is scheduled to appear for a pretrial hearing Dec. 6.
John needs to get some help but TRPD does WAY too many “equipment violation” stops.
