In White Pigeon, Jeffrey Wagaman Jr. and Paige Willis are battling for the position of village president. The winner will replace Tyler Royce, who no longer lives within municipal boundaries.
Furthermore, a five-person group comprised of Shireen Cline, Dianne Fenner, John Gentry, Jeffery Miller and Jennifer Wortinger are hoping to land one of three seats to the village council.
Also in White Pigeon, its board of education is asking voters to support a request, allowing it to use $2 million to issue general-obligation bonds for school improvements.
Proposed work includes partial remodeling; furnishing and re-furnishing school buildings; technology upgrades; the purchase of school buses; and improving its track and field.
If approved, the district would levy eighty-five hundredths of a mill over a five-year period.
