Tonya Michelle Adams, age 51, of Sturgis, passed away Sunday evening, November 10, 2024, at Ascension Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo.
She was born December 31, 1972, in Sturgis, daughter of Pearl Sue (Pagels) White.
Tonya was a lifelong Sturgis resident and graduate of Sturgis High School with the class of 1992.
On June 5, 1999, she married Robert Adams in Sturgis.
For the past five years Tonya was employed by Jim Stykemain Chevrolet in Sturgis as a title clerk, a job she truly loved.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Tonya enjoyed coloring, reading, and puzzles.
She is survived by her loving and dedicated husband: Robert Adams; daughters: Karra (Eric) Boggs of Three Rivers and Cheyanne (Scott) Adams of Sturgis; sons: Jakob (Angel) Lafler of Georgia and Zechariah (Lexi) Adams of Colon; grandchildren: Skyler, Kamela, Abigail, Amora, Harlem and Elijha; brothers: Chris (Jon Metzger) White of Peru, Indiana and Kerry White of Sturgis; aunt: Judy (Jerry) Metzger of Sturgis and cousin: Richard (Nicole) Dudek of Sturgis.
She was preceded in death by her mother, brother: Keith White and grandparents: Sinclair and Ernestine Sears.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 16th at the Hackman Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 114 S. Nottawa St. in Sturgis where funeral services celebrating the life of Tonya Michelle Adams will immediately follow the visitation at 2:00. Pastor Randy Miller of Wasepi Chapel in Centreville will officiate. In honoring Tonya’s wishes cremation will follow the service. Private interment of the remains will take place at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Sturgis at a later date.
