Body of missing man found

The body of a Sturgis man who hadn’t been seen since last week was found by authorities Monday.

Sturgis Department of Public Safety Director Ryan Banaszak said officers located the body of William Howell in a community park in Sturgis.

Howell, whose family members said he had early onset dementia, was last seen Thursday, the same date authorities found his vehicle at a local park.

Banaszak said it appears there is nothing suspicious about Howell’s death.
