Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Connie Winbigler and Eugene Freeze, her loving husband, Thomas Dentler, her daughter, Sheryl Hager, and her sister, Sherry Roberts.
She is survived by her children, Rhiley Dentler of Marcellus and Jerry Swartz of Marcellus; her dear brother, Ben Freeze of Elkhart; her loving sister, Jenny Rogers of Elkhart; and her cherished granddaughter, Evelina Todd of Marcellus. She will also be missed by her nephew, Ray Roberts, and niece, Denise Rogers.
A woman of great passion and joy, Margaret had a heart full of love for her family, her community, and her many friends. She was a long-time waitress in Marcellus, where she became a beloved fixture of the local community. As a member of the Wine Ladies group, she enjoyed sharing laughter and good times with her friends. Her love of puzzles and Mahjong brought her countless hours of joy. She was a proud Coca-Cola and Mickey Mouse enthusiast, always bringing a bit of fun and whimsy into the lives of those around her.
Margaret was deeply active in her community, serving on the MAESA board and embracing the role of Ms. Claus whenever needed. She was also a faithful member of her church for many years, singing in the choir and offering her time and talents. Above all, she was a friend to many, a woman who radiated joy, kindness, and laughter. Her ability to make others smile and her infectious laugh will be remembered by all who knew her.
A celebration of her life will be held this Saturday at 12:00 at the Methodist Church on Main Street in Marcellus. A small luncheon will follow at 1:00.
She will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love, laughter, and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
