Marian D. Eash, age 92, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at Three Rivers Health, surrounded by family.
She was born on July 7, 1932, in Sturgis, a daughter to Henry and Elsa (Forhriep) Bauman.
Marian lived in the St. Joseph County area her entire life, graduating from Centreville High School with the Class of 1949. She has resided in Three Rivers for the last 30 years.
She married Georgie J. Ream on April 9, 1950. Georgie passed away March 4, 1979. Marian married Virgil Eash on July 24, 1982, he preceded her in death on May 27, 1998.
Marian worked for 17 years at Dayco in Three Rivers and for Crystal Fruit Company for 13 years. She was always out working on the farm which kept her young. While she worked on the farm, she had no fear of the heavy machinery and even drove the big D7 Tractors down in the Florida everglades. Marian loved her flower garden, and one month a few years ago, she was even voted Garden of the Month by the Garden Club. She made the best bread, the grandchildren wouldn’t ask for gifts, they would ask Grandma for her breads. Marian liked to watch the birds at her bird feeders and liked to visit shops and flea markets, not necessarily to buy things but to look at the different items. She loved walking her dogs and even at one time had a pet sheep called Baby. She loved family and the road trips she would take to spend time with them. Marian would go for Sunday drives and drive around Three Rivers looking at the holiday decorations during Christmas time. She loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children: Mary Ann Ream and William (Shelley) Ream, both of Three Rivers; Grandchildren: Christine (James) Bryant, Justin Fuller, Kendra (AJ) Burch, Nick (Courtney) Fuller and Jacob Ream; 14 Great Grandchildren; three Great Great Grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Georgie J. Ream and Virgil Eash; Son: Robert Ream: Grandson: Shane Ream and two siblings.
In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place. There will be a graveside service at Moorepark Cemetery at a later date.
