The Sturgis Department of Public Safety is investigating a rash of vehicle break-ins last week.
Authorities said multiple vehicles were broken into early Friday morning. The incidents were limited to an area on the north side of the city.
Officers were responding to the first call when reports from additional victims alerted police. Officers confirmed that several other vehicles had, in fact, been broken into.
As officers continued to investigate, they found a group of individuals matching the description of suspects provided by victims. The group fled, though police said they managed to arrest one minor, who was reportedly from St. Joseph County, Ind.
Authorities believe the group of suspects were involved with a theft of a vehicle from a location on Cheshire Drive.
The department received several more calls throughout the day about other vehicle larcenies, and believe the same individuals are involved with those reports, police said.
