Law-enforcement officials in Cass County are appealing to the public for help in solving a vandalism incident that occurred last week.
Dowagiac Director of Public Safety Steve Grinnewald said officers were notified around 3 a.m. Friday of a vehicle on fire at Hartman Automotive Service. Fire department members were notified and subsequently extinguished the blaze.
Further investigation by officers found two vehicles had their tires slashed.
Grinnewald said his office is contacting area businesses to check their surveillance cameras for any clues related to the incident.
