Bronson man arrested in connection with larceny

A Branch County man was arrested following an investigation into a larceny that took place last month in Cass County.

Sheriff Clint Roach said the agency was advised that two four-wheelers, a trailer and several items were stolen Dec. 17 from a location in the 56000 block of Shattuck Road, Penn Township.

Value of the stolen items was more than $20,000.

Following an investigation, detectives and troopers from Michigan State Police responded Sunday to a location in Bronson. Acting on a tip, law-enforcement officials discovered a suspect attempting to conceal one of the four-wheelers and the trailer.

The 35-year-old suspect was charged with receiving and concealing stolen property, larceny from a building and two counts of motor-vehicle theft.

Detectives continued to follow leads, which led to locating the second four-wheeler and nearly all of the stolen property. The items were recovered in Cass and Van Buren counties.
