A Sturgis man was arrested earlier this week following a stabbing incident.
According to Sturgis Department of Public Safety, officers were called Monday evening to the 200 block of South Clay Street in response to a man who had been stabbed.
Officers learned the victim was being transported to Sturgis Hospital by personal vehicle. The victim was treated and released.
In the meantime, officers located and arrested the suspect. He is charged with assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder.
Authorities said he was also charged with a bond violation.
