A high school basketball doubleheader is on tap this evening, as Three Rivers boys and girls teams host a league rival.
Both Wildcat squads will take on Paw Paw Red Wolves.
Three Rivers’ boys team is coming off a 30-point, non-conference victory over Constantine earlier this week. It is now 3-6 on the season. Paw Paw is 7-1, and has won two consecutive games since a Dec. 19 loss to Niles.
Meanwhile, the Lady Wildcats are 2-5 overall, as they fell in a non-conference game Tuesday against Gull Lake. Paw Paw, in second place in the Wolverine Conference, is 6-1 overall and riding a five-game win streak. It secured a 10-point victory over Kalamazoo Christian earlier this week. Its only blemish on the season is a one-point loss to league-leading Vicksburg last month.
Tonight’s games will be carried live on WRCI 97.1 FM, starting around 5:45 for the girls contest. Coverage will continue for the boys game, which starts at 7:15. The broadcasts will also be streamed online at wrciradio.com.
