Barbara Ann (Holdsworth) Miller, age 91, of Mendon, passed away late Saturday evening, February 1, 2025 at Three Rivers Health .
She was born October 1, 1933, in New York City, daughter of the late Chester and Elizabeth (Duff) Lyon.
Barbara resided in Mendon for the past 50 years. On June 26, 1969, she married Jack C. Miller in Hillsdale. He preceded her in death December 25, 2003.
She was a Registered Nurse working at area hospitals retiring following several years of dedicated employment.
Barbara was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-Day Saints in Sturgis and Red Hat Society. She enjoyed reading, word search puzzles, needle work, home crafts, and collecting colored glass.
Barbara is survived by her sons: Edward Holdsworth of Mendon and David Holdsworth of Sturgis; grandchildren: Thomas Jack (Danielle) Holdsworth and Steven W. Holdsworth both of Sturgis and stepdaughter: Kimleen of Montana.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one sister.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M., Thursday, February 6th at the Hackman Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 114 S. Nottawa St. in Sturgis where funeral services will immediately follow the visitation at 1:00 P.M. Bishop Jason Halling of Church of Jesus Christ of latter-Day Saints will officiate. The dedication of her grave will follow the service at Adams Cemetery in rural Burr Oak.
