Linda Sue Hoover, age 74, of Sturgis, passed away Monday afternoon, February 24, 2025, at the Sturgis Hospital Emergency Room.
She was born October 9, 1950, in Sturgis, daughter of the late Joel Edward and Mary Susanne “Suzie” (Messner) Schram.
Linda was a lifelong Sturgis resident and graduate of Sturgis High School with the class of 1969.
In June of 1972 she married Rex Hoover in Sturgis.
Linda retired from Sturgis Molded Products in Sturgis following over 40 years of dedicated employment.
She was a talented artist and crafts person enjoying crocheting and knitting. Linda had a true appreciation for nature and loved animals. She could easily be referred to as a cat mom.
She is survived by her loving and dedicated husband of 52 years: Rex; daughter: Megan Hoover of Lawrence, Kansas; brothers: James (Linda) Millar of Sturgis, Joel (Vicky) Schram, II of South Carolina, Anthony (Dawn) Schram of Center Cross, Virginia, Christopher (Joanie) Schram of Sturgis and Patrick (Vicky) Schram of New Jersey and 14 nieces and nephews.
In honoring Linda’s wishes cremation has taken place. Private family services will be held at a later date.
The Hackman Family Funeral Homes of Sturgis is entrusted with the arrangements.
