Michael Dean Christensen, age 59, of Sturgis, passed away Friday, February 21, 2025, at his home.
He was born on August 7, 1965, in Cleveland, Ohio, son of Richard Earl and Donna Christensen.
Michael resided in Sturgis since 2010, coming from Arizona where he lived his early life.
He was a talented truck driver by trade, an occupation he had a real passion for.
Michael enjoyed gaming, animals, loved time with his family, and had a true appreciation for veterans.
He is survived by his father and stepmother: Richard (Debra) Christensen of Chesterland, Ohio; sister: DeAnna (Aaron) Patterson of Candia, New Hampshire; brother: Richard Allen Christensen of Howe, Indiana; niece: Carly Patterson of Candia, New Hampshire and nephew: Zachary H. Davis of Fargo, North Dakota and uncle: Jerry (Jill) Fuller of Ham Lake, Minnesota.
Michael was preceded in death by his mother: Donna Christensen and uncle: Ted Christensen.
In honoring Michael’s wishes cremation has taken place. No services are planned.
The Hackman Family Funeral Homes of Sturgis is entrusted with the arrangements.
