Kalamazoo County is taking a pass on holding its annual county fair in 2025.
A study to help determine the future of the Kalamazoo County Youth Fair is underway, according to Kalamazoo County Commissioner Jeff Hepler. The feasibility study, which is being conducted at a cost of $100,000, will take into account a number of factors before a recommendation is yielded later in the year, Hepler said.
In the absence of a county fair this year, MSU Extension officials who service Kalamazoo County said consideration is being given to a showcase event featuring a 4-H-only option.

Welcome to MAGAland. First suspend, then earmark $100,000 for a “feasibility study” to be overseen by the department opposing the fair, from the government entity that has not financially supported the fair for several years.
This really STINKS!! Why can’t we have a traditional county fair?? There isn’t a lot to look forward to in this city. The fair in summer is one thing that parents and grandparents can look forward to taking their kids to. Come on!!! Give us the fair!!
