Randall Phillip Cooper, age 72, of Three Rivers, passed away Friday, January 31, 2025 at his home.
He was born March 18, 1952 in Dowagiac, the son of Paul and Dorothy (Blood) Cooper, and graduated from Marcellus High School with the Class of 1970. Active from a young age, he participated in Cub Scouts, Little League, and high school sports.
A very hard worker – detailed, meticulous, and a perfectionist – Randy worked at a turkey farm, a Christmas tree farm, and as a county surveyor before beginning his career as a carpenter and the owner of Professional Carpentry.
He loved to be out and about, whether hunting, fishing, golfing, bowling, or playing slow-pitch and fast-pitch softball. He participated with his community as a member and Past Exalted Ruler of the Elks, as well as a member of the American Legion, the Moose, and the Eagles. And he could often be found riding his beloved Harley.
Randy cared greatly for his family and relished being a grandfather, always putting candy out for his grandchildren’s visits.
Remaining to cherish his memory are his life partner, Roberta Donovan; sons, Austin (Stacy) Cooper and Clinton (Sandra) Cooper; grandchildren, Mercades, London, Madison, Lucas, and Baylee; sister, Jeana Cooper (Kenneth Frisbie); and special dog, Lucy.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by his sister, Paula Rae Cooper.
A celebration of Randy’s life will be held Thursday, February 20, 2025 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Three Rivers Elks, 603 W. Michigan Ave.
Donations in Randy’s memory may be directed to the Three Rivers Elks. Envelopes will be available at Hohner Funeral Home.
