Robert C. Seman, age 86, of LaGrange, died at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne on Thursday, February 27, 2025, as the results of heart failure.
Mr. Seman was born on May 26, 1938, in Union City, IN to Chester A. and Mary E. (McClain) Seman.
Bob was a man who loved the Lord and had a servant’s heart, he was a longtime member of the First Church of God of LaGrange. He volunteered for many years at the LaGrange County Clothes and Food Basket. He loved to go fishing, playing cards, traveling, and being with family, especially playing with the grandkids. He had a wonderful tenor voice and enjoyed singing. Bob enjoyed watching sports and was an avid Indiana University fan.
In 1959, Bob moved to LaGrange County from Union City, IN. He worked from 1964-1994 for United Parcel Services (UPS). After retiring from UPS, he worked as a janitor for the First Church of God in LaGrange and for Alternative Lifestyles and The Arc of LaGrange County.
On January 17, 1959, in Ashley, IN, he married Janet Lee Lepley.
Surviving is wife of 66 years, Janet Seman of LaGrange; two daughters, Sally (Randy) Eaton of LaGrange, and Brenda (Dave) Lozowski of Fresno, OH; three sons, Thomas (Debra) Seman of Howe, Andrew (Jill) Seman of Constantine, and Timothy (Patti) Seman of Wawaka, IN; eighteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren.
Preceding Bob in death were his parents, Chester and Mary Seman; a grandson, Rich Alan Eaton; and two sisters, Ruth Weiss and Mary Ann Clark.
A visitation will take place on Sunday, March 2, 2025, from 2 to 5 pm at the church.
Funeral services will take place on Monday, March 3, 2025, at 11:00 am at First Church of God, 777 N. Detroit St., LaGrange, IN with Pastor Rich Laskowski.
Burial will follow the services at Greenwood Cemetery in LaGrange.
