Ronald L. Heath, age 95, of Lake Wales, Florida passed away on February 1, 2025. He was born on May 26, 1929 in Kalamazoo, the son of Harry and Lillian (Bush) Heath. He attended school in the Kalamazoo area; after school he would began working at Kalamazoo Vegetable Parchment Company. While employed there Ronald was drafted by the United States Army and honorably served his country. When his army days were completed, he went back to work for KVP Paper Mill for over 30 years until his retirement. On December 12, 1954 he married the love of his life Lucille Briggs in Angola. They were married for 66 wonderful years until Lucille’s passing in 2020. Ronald was a simple man who enjoyed a simple life; hard working, helping anyone in need, and proudly wore the title of a “master tinkerer”.
Ronald is survived by his two sons; Robert (Ann Marie) Smith of Pembrook Pines, Florida and Allen (Alice) Smith of Vicksburg; two grandchildren; David and Rebecca; two great-grandchildren; Elizabeth and Allen; two brothers; Durwood Heath and Willard (Edna) Heath. He was preceded in death by his parents; Harry and Lillian Heath; two brothers; Harry Jr. and Robert Heath; sister Joyce Thrams; sister-in-law Gladys Heath; and wife Lucille Heath.
A graveside service for Ronald is scheduled for Friday, February 14, 2025 at Leonidas Cemetery at 12:00 Noon with Pastor Carl Litchfield officiating. Condolences and memories may be expressed to his family at eickhofffuneralhome.com
