An agreement with six different St. Joseph County unions appears imminent.
County administrator Teresa Cupp provided an update on the situation during Tuesday’s executive committee meeting.
She said the county and the six unions – which represent about 60 people in all – have ratified the tentative agreements and the only action necessary is board of commissioners approval next week.
The six unions are AFSCME units representing Family Court, Friend of the Court, General Unit and Probate Court, FOP Corrections Division and District Court Association.
The potential agreements are for three-year terms and retroactive to Jan. 1.
Cupp said negotiations are continuing with the final three groups: Police Officers Association of Michigan road patrol, its road command and Central Dispatch. The three groups include about 30 employees, Cupp said.
