Beth E. Martin, age 64, of Sturgis, passed away early Thursday morning, March 6, 2025, at Three Rivers Health.
She was born on May 7, 1960, in Coldwater, daughter of the late Daryl and Joan B. (Irons) Martin.
Beth resided most of her life in Burr Oak and was a graduate of Burr Oak High School with the class of 1978 where she played the cornet in the band.
She had been employed by Calhoun County Mental Health as a residential care manager for several years until health issues forced her to retire. Shortly after high school graduation, she worked at Froh Community in Sturgis for a few years.
Beth had a true love for sports. She volunteered her time keeping stats for little league, Sandy Koufax and Burr Oak Bob Cats varsity baseball for many years. Beth enjoyed deer hunting and loved playing the guitar. She was a loyal fan of the Detroit Tigers and University of Michigan Wolverines.
She is survived by her brother: Alan (Deanna) Martin of Colon; sister: Ann Martin of Colon; twin nephews: Nathan Martin and Nicholas (Aubrey) Martin; niece: Megan (her fiancée: Chad Spence, Jr.) Martin; great niece and nephew: Ava Grace Bohm and Wesley Robert Spence.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 5:00, Sunday, March 9th at Rosenberg Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 807 E. Chicago Rd. in Sturgis. Funeral services celebrating the life of Beth E. Martin will be held at the funeral home on Monday, March 10th at 11:00 A.M. The Rev. Doug Noonkester of the First Baptist Church of Sturgis will officiate. A graveside committal will follow the service at Burr Oak Cemetery in Burr Oak.
