Carolyn Cook, 73

Carolyn Jo Cook, age 73, of Three Rivers, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2025.

Carolyn was born July 8, 1951 to Maurice and Henrietta Cook (deceased). She graduated from Mendon High School, attended Western Michigan University and Kalamazoo Valley Community College. She met her cherished best friend, Michael, at Glen Oaks Community College.

Carolyn was a talented singer and pianist. Her musical talents took her to Europe many times to perform with different choirs. She taught piano and voice throughout her life.

Carolyn served God in many ways. She was of the Methodist faith, last belonging to the First United Methodist Church of Three Rivers where she had recently retired a pianist. Carolyn worked at numerous and varied jobs including the American Kennel Club, Kline’s Resort, the Carnegie Center for the Arts, and the Three Rivers Community Schools District.

One of her most cherished ways to serve God was playing and singing for friends’ weddings and funerals.

She was an accomplished chef and enjoyed cooking for her friends. Carolyn especially loved Christmas. Her favorite movie was White Christmas. She was lovingly dubbed “The Christmas Queen” by her family.

Carolyn leaves behind several cousins and close friends and her best friend, Michael.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation will be conducted, and a private burial of her ashes will be held at a later date.
