Charles Collisi Potter, age 89, of Sturgis, passed away Sunday afternoon, March 16, 2025, at Thurston Woods Villa in Sturgis.
He was born on October 16, 1935, in Three Rivers, son of the late Oliver and Maxine (Collisi) Potter.
Chuck resided in Sturgis since 1999 coming from Kalamazoo. His early life was spent in Three Rivers.
On June 29, 1974, he married Shirley Ann Winkleblack at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Sturgis. She preceded him in death November 14, 2014.
Chuck retired from Denton Mills in Centreville following 25 years of dedicated employment.
He attended Holy Angels Catholic Church.
He was a member of Three Rivers-Mount Hermon Lodge #24 and enjoyed playing golf. Chuck was a loyal avid fan of the Detroit Tigers and Detroit Lions.
Chuck is survived by several cousins including Jane (Rodney) Stahl of Sturgis and special friends: Lynn Harn of Kalamazoo, Brian Reed of White Pigeon, Sharon Reed of Sturgis, and Christina and Kevin Charles of Sturgis.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, March 18th at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Sturgis. Chaplain Rodger Moyer of Thurston Woods Village in Sturgis will officiate.
The Hackman Family Funeral Homes of Sturgis is entrusted with the arrangements.
