A Coldwater man, suspected of being homeless, faces a number of charges following an incident in downtown Coldwater earlier this week.
Police were called around 11 p.m. Tuesday to the area of East Chicago Street and Clay Street in response to a man standing in the roadway.
Officers noticed the 38-year-old man appeared agitated and had fresh blood on his hands.
Upon further investigation, officers found that the suspect bit a 33-year-old Coldwater man in the face. The victim told authorities he was driving on East Chicago Street, and the suspect was standing in the road and would not let the motorist pass.
The victim got out of his vehicle and was then allegedly assaulted by the victim.
The 38-year-old man is a suspect in a situation in which multiple windows in the area were broken prior to the incident, authorities said.
