Constantine approves change order to wastewater-treatment plant construction

A change order for construction of a wastewater-treatment plant in Constantine was approved by village officials earlier this week.

Village Manager Mark Honeysett said the $50,000 change order will be applied toward the final stages of construction of the facility. It is projected to cost $18.5 million. The plant is being funded by the USDA Rural Development program and a state grant.

Honeysett said he expects the treatment plant to be completed by the end of August.

The village currently pumps its effluent to Three Rivers.
