Glenn Wegner, 69

Glenn Alan Wegner was born on January 10, 1956, in Kalamazoo. He was the son of Charles Wegner and Jeannette (Overmire) Wegner. Glenn went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 26, 2025. He was 69 years old.
He graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School in 1975 and from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science in 1982.
On July 10, 2004, Glenn married Joy Monroe at Calvary Bible Church in Kalamazoo. Together, they enjoyed 20 wonderful years of marriage. Glenn would often refer to her as “The Joy of His Life”.
Glenn spent many years as a cost estimating engineer, and after retirement, Glenn enjoyed several years working at Home Depot. He was also involved on the Lockport Township Water Board for the last several years. He enjoyed serving the people of the community in this position.
Until the end of his life, he loved to read the Word of God, grow in the Lord, and talk about Jesus whenever someone needed encouragement.
Remaining to cherish his memory is his wife, Joy; their daughters Carolle Atkinson, Allison (Stephen) Ade, and Stephanie (Brian) Avery, as well as their 11 grandchildren and their first great grandchild due mid-April. Siblings; David (Terry) Wegner, Norma Jean (Ken) Lehoczky, and Paul (Karen) Wegner; Brother-in-law; Douglas (Cindy) Monroe; along with many nieces and nephews.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Jeannette Wegner; his in-laws, Charles Monroe, William and Beulah Mader.
Glenn’s legacy will be his constant example of Christ in his life as well as his kindness to everyone who knew him. He was a man of integrity, and he will live on in the hearts of his wife, his family, and his friends. We find comfort in knowing Glenn’s body has been made perfect as he lives in the glory and presence of the Lord.

There will be a celebration of Glenn’s life on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Temple Baptist Church, 55437 Wilbur Road, Three Rivers, Michigan. Visitation will be at 10 am with the service beginning at 11 am. Pastor Michael Harris and Pastor Douglas Monroe will be officiating.
Glenn will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Temple Baptist Church in Glenn’s memory.
