Karma Jo Thomas Weiers, age 77, of McCormick, South Carolina, (formerly of Sturgis) beloved wife of Richard Lee Weiers, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, March 2, 2025. She was born April 29th, 1947 to the late William R. and Cecile M. Noah Thomas of Sidney, MI.
Mrs. Weiers was a proud graduate of Central Montcalm High School (Stanton, MI), Class of 1965, and earned her associate degree in nursing from Muskegon Community College. She served as a Licensed Practical Nurse in various specialties. Her focus was on family practice, including nearly 25 years of service to the Sturgis community as a nurse, and later office manager, at “The Doctor’s Office”.
In her personal life, Mrs. Weiers found joy in playing golf, boating, riding horses, gardening, playing cards, and cherishing moments with her family, friends and many animals.
She is survived by her loving husband, Rick, with whom she shared 56 wonderful years; her favorite son, Ryan W. Weiers (Sara) of Charlotte, NC; two cherished grandchildren, Asher and Maren Weiers; beloved cousins Genelle Bailey (John) Welch of Coldwater and Marece Bailey Hutchison of Bronson, MI. Mrs. Weiers is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Richard L. Thomas and Gary A. Thomas; and a special aunt, Shirley Noah Bailey.
