Lee Rodgers, 70

Lee Alan Rodgers, age 70, of Three Rivers, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at his home surrounded by his wife and daughter. He was born October 21, 1954 in Grand Rapids, the son of George and Evelyn (Brunsink) Rodgers, and graduated from Caledonia High School with the Class of 1972. Lee was proud to grow up on the family dairy farm and acquired a strong work ethic he carried throughout his life.

He graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science in 1976. Lee was a faithful employee of Greenstone Farm Credit Services for 36 years where he carried out his love for farming by helping local farmers. He enjoyed his time with customers and coworkers alike and took pride in his profession.

Lee married Norah Waldeck, his constant companion, in May 1980. They enjoyed traveling and hosting friends and family at their cottage on Lincoln Lake. Lee loved fishing, nature, and maintaining his yard. He was always willing to lend a helping hand where he saw a need.

He was a member of Connections Community Church in Schoolcraft. His faith grew there along with many friendships.

Remaining to cherish his memory are his wife, Norah Rodgers; daughter, Heidi (Ryan) McLaughlin; brother, Wayne (Pat) Rodgers; sister, Ila Matteson; sisters-in-law, Nancy (Leonard) Nanzer, Laura Webb, and Carla Waldeck, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Evelyn Rodgers, and many cherished family members.

Visitation will be held Monday, March 17, 2025 from 4:00 to 7:00 at Hohner Funeral Home, 1004 Arnold St., Three Rivers. Visitation will also be held Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at 1:00 at Connections Community Church, 11500 N. US-131, Schoolcraft, with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 with Pastor Dave Sanders officiating. He will be laid to rest at Lakeside Cemetery, 503 Elm St. SE, Caledonia, on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at 2:00.

Donations in Lee’s memory may be directed to Connections Community Church for its building fund or to Centrica Care Navigators in appreciation of their loving care in his final weeks. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and church.
