A pre-hearing conference this week involving St. Joseph County Prosecutor Deb Davis was rescheduled.
Davis was slated to take part Monday in a virtual conference involving the Michigan Attorney Discipline Board and its legal representative, Austin Blessing-Nelson. At the onset of the hearing, however, Blessing-Nelson requested an adjournment, as Davis sought more time to secure legal representation.
Board Chairman David Peterson granted the request for adjournment and rescheduled the matter to reconvene June 5.
The issue centers on Davis during her time as assistant prosecuting attorney. It is alleged by former county prosecutor David Marvin that Davis was not forthright during a hearing in January 2024 overseen by District Court Judge Jeff Middleton.
