Sunday marked the start of National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, and St. Joseph County Central Dispatch Director Stacey Bower said her agency has made a few special plans to commemorate the event.
Bower said Central Dispatch is comprised of a dedicated team that aptly handles hard work, shows commitment and always demonstrates professionalism.
Activities on tap this week include a pop-up popcorn bar, circus themes, thank-you letters from area school children, a new outdoor break area, and shift meals from favorite restaurants.
Bower said she is honored to celebrate Central Dispatch members for their contributions and she hopes the public takes a moment to acknowledge the important team of employees.
