Charles K. Swihart, age 76, of Three Rivers, passed away at his home on Friday, April 4, 2025. He was born in Three Rivers on September 19, 1948, the son of the late Robert and Lucinda (Bell) Swihart. After graduating from Three Rivers High School Class of 1967, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and served our country with honor. After being discharged he returned to make Three Rivers his home and begin a family. Charlie was kind, loving, and generous. He enjoyed socializing and rarely met a person who didn’t become a friend. He loved being outdoors, spending time in nature. Charlie loved the many rivers and lakes that Michigan offered and could often be found racing his canoe across the water. He owned and operated a canoe rental business which helped bring joyful summer days to others. He had a generous heart and a strong faith in the Lord. Above all Charlie loved his family and was especially proud of his daughters and grandchildren. His smile, love, and laughter will be missed by all who knew him. Charlie is survived by two daughters, Tisha (Brian Huckstep) Swihart, Sherry Swihart; five grandchildren, Haley and Macey Huckstep, Mariah (Aaidan) Frazier, Jaeda and Logan Budfuloski; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was also preceded in passing by a brother, Leon Swihart
A memorial service to honor and celebrate Charlie’s life will be held at Hohner Funeral Home on Saturday, April 12, 2025, beginning at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 10:00 am, one hour prior to the service.
