Several Colon and Colon-area residents are preparing a fundraiser to help support the family of a Leonidas man injured in a fall last year.
“Rally For Randy,” a benefit to assist Randy Burritt, takes place 4 to 8 p.m. April 26 at Saint Barbara’s Parish Hall in Colon. Food will be provided by Pigheaded BBQ for $15 per person.
Event organizers plan to incorporate a gift basket auction and other activities to help with expenses incurred by the 75-year-old Burritt.
The Quincy native fell off a ladder back in September, injuring his neck and spine. He now requires 24-hour care.
