Judith Elaine Parker, age 76, of Three Rivers, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2025, at Centrica Rose Arbor Place beside her loving husband of 55 years.
She was born April 17, 1949, in Pontiac, the daughter of Donald and Alma (Hagen) Leach. Judy graduated from Centreville High School with the Class of 1967. Growing up she enjoyed being active in school government and playing clarinet in the school’s marching band.
Judy earned her associate’s degree in nursing from Glen Oaks Community College and went on to fulfill her lifelong dream, flourishing in the career she loved as a labor and delivery nurse at Bronson Hospital for 35 years.
On June 20, 1969, she married Denny Parker. The two had been close friends since kindergarten. The loving couple spent the next 55 years on countless adventures and travels all over the country, on their boats, and later RVing.
Judy enjoyed family, keeping up with friends, reading, traveling, and gardening.
Judy will be forever remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her huge heart, selfless nature and concern for others has set an example for her family’s future generations.
Remaining to cherish her memory are her husband, Denny Parker; son, James Parker; daughter-in-law, Carmen; grandchildren, Jasmine, Michael, Selena and Todd; great-grandchildren, Edward, Zach, Greyson and Georjah; brother, Don (Leach); sister, Carol (Mallow); nieces, Kim and Debbie; nephew, Doug (Leach); cousins, Joetta, Dave, Chata and Tobi (Cherry). Judy cherished special relationships with many friends over the years.
She was preceded in death by her parents and by her nephew Jim Mallow.
Her family will receive friends Saturday, May 3, 2025, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Hohner Funeral Home, 1004 Arnold St., Three Rivers. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 at the funeral home.
