Kenneth Eugene Ball, age 74, of Sturgis, passed away early Monday morning, April 14, 2025, at The Laurels of Coldwater in Coldwater.
He was born February 21, 1951 in Sturgis, son of the late Violet McClanahan.
Ken was a lifelong Sturgis resident and graduate of Sturgis High School with the class of 1969.
On October 25, 1984, he married Maty Lou Rigby in Sturgis. She preceded him in death November 19, 2019.
Ken had worked as a supervisor in area manufacturing companies. He had also been employed in construction and at the Sturges-Young Center for the Arts and traveled throughout the United States building miniature golf courses.
He was a member of Grace Christian Fellowship Church in Sturgis and enjoyed going to garage sales and auctions, playing bingo, and traveling to casinos. He always seemed to be involved in a building project or fixing something.
He is survived by his daughter: Tara Ball of Sturgis; granddaughters: Hailey Harker and Sierra Harker both of Sturgis and his significant other: Carol Sprague of Coldwater.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and son: Travis Schuler.
In honoring Ken’s wishes cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 on Wednesday, April 23rd at Grace Christian Fellowship Church, 300 Timothy Dr. in Sturgis where a memorial service celebrating and honoring the life of Kenneth Ball will immediately follow the visitation at 6:00. Pastors Luke Eicher and Justin Wickey will officiate.
