New grant available in St. Joseph County

St. Joseph County has been granted funding intended specifically for people who are asset limited, income constrained and employed.

Criterion includes a stipulation that the potential recipient is employed or has a verified start date. Funds are limited and, once exhausted, may not be renewed.

Overseen by Michigan Works and its Barrier Removal Employment Success program, the funding mechanism assists people with matters such as housing and rental, legal reimbursement, personal grooming, child care, family care, work tools and equipment, training materials and auto insurance.
