Patrick Scott Patterson, age 60, of Burr Oak, passed away Thursday, April 17, 2025, in Bristol, Indiana.
He was born on January 11, 1965 in San Rafael, California, son of James and Betty (Birch) Patterson.
Pat resided in the Sturgis area from the age of 12, coming from California and was a graduate of Sturgis High School with the class of 1983.
He was employed by Thor Motor Coach in Bristol for the past 10 years. Pat enjoyed his job and working in general. He had also been employed by Red Rose Flooring in Sturgis and liked working with granites.
Pat enjoyed playing Bingo, fishing and hunting, and loved time with family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughters: Ashley (Jacob Schlotter) Patterson of Lagro, Indiana and Olivia Patterson of Kalamazoo; son: Brantley Patterson of Sturgis; his grandchildren: Brantley Patterson, Kylee Patterson, Conner Patterson, Anistasia Patterson, Bryson Cross, Hazel Schlotter and Anisely Schlotter; mother and stepfather: Betty and Gerald Newberry of Sturgis; brother: Charles J. Patterson of Fort Worth, Texas; sister: LeAnn Escobedo-Fonesca of Reedley, California; stepmother: Virginia Patterson of Reedley, California and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and brothers: Bobby Newberry and James Patterson.
In honoring Pat’s wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date to be announced.
The Hackman Family Funeral Homes of Sturgis is entrusted with the arrangements.
