Santha Sue Wells, age 62, of Constantine, died on Sunday, April 20, 2025 at her home. She was born June 8, 1962 in South Bend, a daughter of Clayton and Suzanne (Chalfant) Mallo. Santha graduated from Constantine High School in 1980, and from Western Michigan University in 1984 receiving her BA in Business Administration. On September 18, 1993 she married Harry Wells at the Constantine United Methodist Church. He preceded her in death June 25, 2019.
Santha was employed as payroll manager at GT Independence in Sturgis, for the past 15 years. She previously was senior controller at Dynamax in Elkhart, and worked at Coachmen Industries in Middlebury.
Santha served many years as Assistant Scout Master for Boy Scout Troop #410, Constantine, as well as serving on the Constantine Little League Board. She was very proud to have been a member of the WMU marching band, and of her son Nathan following her footsteps in the band.
Surviving are her son Nathan Wells, Sioux Falls, SD, brother Troy and Mimi Mallo, Constantine, sisters in law Kathryn Wells, Goshen, Leslie (BG) Tanzer, Sequim, WA, nieces and nephews Adam Hayes, Megan Hayes Eslick, Zachary Mallo, Benjamin Mallo and Jessica Mallo, great niece and nephew Kameli and Keegan Eslick. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends will be received Saturday April 26th, from 2 to 4 pm at Eley Funeral Home in Constantine.
