Southwest Michigan Land Conservancy is hosting a number of upcoming events in which the public is encouraged to participate.
A river cleanup event takes place 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday starting at the Mayors’ Riverfront Park in Kalamazoo. Crews will target the Kalamazoo River.
A Frog Walk is scheduled 7 to 9:30 p.m. Thursday at Portman Nature Preserve in Van Buren County.
An Earth Day celebration will center on a workday at Bow in the Clouds Preserve in Kalamazoo. The three-hour event starts at 9 a.m. April 19.
Conservancy officials said a seed-sorting workday is scheduled for 1 to 3 p.m. April 24 at their Chipman House office, off East Main Street in Galesburg.
The final event is a spring wildflower walk at Black River Preserve in South Haven. It will occur 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. April 24.
