Warren Ross Davis, age 81, of Elkhart, formerly of Jones, entered into eternal rest peacefully Wednesday, April 9, 2025.
His life began November 8, 1943 in Chicago, the youngest of four children born to Alexander and Johanna (Richter) Davis.
Following high school, Warren answered the call to serve his country by joining the Army National Guard. He enjoyed a long career in the LP gas industry, retiring from the State of Michigan. Warren enjoyed playing cards, reading, watching the History Channel, and cheering on the Michigan Wolverines. He loved animals, especially his dogs, Tucker and Bailey.
Warren married Rita Kay Davis in 1966. After thirty years of marriage, she preceded him in death in 1996. He then married Jeanne Mead September 9, 1999. After less than two years of marriage she died tragically in 2001.
Warren will be greatly missed by family and friends. He leaves to carry on his memory and his legacy, two daughters, Donna (David) Kling of Osceola, Dawn (Jim Johnson) Dennis of Goshen; one granddaughter, Jenna (Joshua Fairchild) Early of Mishawaka of whom he spoke with great pride; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and his wives, he was preceded in death by his two sisters, Barbara Burton, Joan Haines, and one brother, Robert Davis.
The family will observe a private remembrance.
