Centreville Elementary held ribbon cutting for new addition

Centreville Elementary School’s recently completed addition was formally dedicated Monday, when district officials staged a ceremonial ribbon cutting.

The 5,155-square-foot addition, made possible by district voters in a May 2023 vote, features a new cafeteria and a separate, new music room.

District officials, including superintendent Chad Brady, principal Dennis Kirby and board of education members, took part in the ceremonial ribbon cutting.

Board president Rod Detweiler said the $3.1 million addition is a milestone for the district and a step forward for the elementary school. The new lunchroom made its debut April 30 while the music room was inaugurated last week.
