Jeffery L. Gifford, age 62, of Mendon, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, May 24, 2025. He was born on August 8, 1962 in Flint, the son of Richard and Hazel (Wilson) Gifford. Jeff was always helping others and was known for being one of the nicest, caring, genuine individuals you would ever meet. He enjoyed assembling model cars and had hundreds of them on display. Along side his cars, he collected antique tobacco lighters and pipes. Jeff loved a good action movie and his collection would put action movie fans to shame. He adored his two dogs, Minnie and Precious. Above all else, Jeff loved his family and his loving character will truly be missed.
Jeff is survived by his siblings; Diane Crummel, Shirley (Theo) Wilborn, Tereasa Gifford, and Barb Gabel; nieces and nephews, and extended family. He was preceded in passing by his parents; Richard and Hazel; his grandmother who helped raise him; Lilian Gifford; and siblings; Rickey, Roxanne, and April Gifford.
In keeping with family wishes, cremation is being conducted. A private family service will be scheduled at a later date. It is suggested that donations made in Jeff’s name be made to his family. Condolences and memories may be expressed to his family at eickhofffuneralhome.com
