A unique store that offers incentives to expectant mothers and parents to encourage responsibility and improve self-esteem is opening in Three Rivers next week.
B.A.B.E. focuses on parents and parents-to-be, offering coupons for keeping prenatal appointments, attending parenting classes, and other activities that improve child development and family health.
Doctors, clinics and other social-service agencies distribute B.A.B.E. coupons, which can be redeemed at B.A.B.E. stores for items ranging from diapers to childproofing essentials.
The grand opening is 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday at 711 S. Health Parkway.
After the grand opening, it will be open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays.
