Phyllis D. (Bell) Tisdel, age 57, of Sturgis, passed away Tuesday afternoon, May 13, 2025, at Edgewood Health and Rehabilitation in Three Rivers.
She was born December 2, 1967 in Sturgis, daughter of the late Furman and Louise (Jacobs) Bell.
Phyllis resided nearly her entire life in Sturgis and was a graduate of Sturgis High School with the class of 1986.
She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker.
Phyllis enjoyed going to the casino, family gatherings and cookouts and loved shopping.
She married Robert Tisdel in Wolcottville, Indiana. He survives along with her daughter: Ashley (Justin) Craig of Sturgis; son: Jonathon Tisdel of Sturgis; grandchildren: Esmeralda, Mason and Alexander; sisters: Nancy (Anthony) Morris of Sturgis and Martha (Jason) Locklear of North Carolina; brothers: Frankie (Tracy) Bell of Mottville and James “Pat” Jacobs of White Pigeon and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter: Crystal Tisdel and sister: Evone Bell.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 20th at Hackman Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 114 S. Nottawa St. in Sturgis. In honoring family wishes, cremation will follow the visitation. A private burial of the remains will take place at Mottville Cemetery at a later date.
