St. Joseph County Road Commission has announced details related to a number of upcoming projects.
John Lindsey, manager of the Centreville-based agency, said Bennett Road in Leonidas and Colon townships is scheduled for paving starting Monday.
Also Monday, chip-seal season begins.
Lindsey said the procedure starts with an application of oil applied, then a layer of stones will be laid Tuesday. The project will include Anderson Road in Mottville Township, Witt Lake Road in Burr Oak Township, Lepley Road and Hodges Road in Colon Township, and Spring Creek Road in Nottawa Township.
Lindsey said the schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions or equipment operations.
In other road-related news, Lindsey said the first round of dust control has started on select gravel routes. Also, the season’s first round of roadside mowing has started.
