Robert Dale Stowell, age 74, affectionately known as Bob, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 17, 2025 surrounded by family and love. Born on Mother’s Day, May 13, 1951, in Flint, Bob lived a life marked by quiet strength, deep devotion, and a heartfelt commitment to those he loved.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Manley and Doris Stowell, who no doubt welcomed him with open arms.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of over forty years, Judi, with whom he shared a lifetime of memories, laughter, and unwavering partnership. He leaves behind his children—son Denny and daughter Heather—who carry on his legacy with pride. Also mourning his loss are his siblings: sister Sharon, brothers Butch and Gary, and sister Sandy.
Bob was “Papa” to many, a role he cherished most. His grandchildren—Amber, Anthony, Matthew, and Jordan—were his pride and joy, and he delighted in the presence of his two great-granddaughters and four great-grandsons, each of whom knew the warmth of his love and the strength of his embrace.
Bob dedicated more than 20 years of service to King Michigan Sundries and later retired from American Axle. His work ethic was a reflection of his character—steady, reliable, and always done with pride.
Outside of work, Bob found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved being part of a bowling league, spending afternoons on the golf course, and heading to the west side of the state for hunting and fishing trips. These were not just hobbies, but moments where he connected with friends, nature, and his own quiet joy.
Those who knew Bob will remember him as a man who lived with purpose, loved without condition, and left a mark on everyone fortunate enough to cross his path.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
