Ronald Dean Hughes, age 54, of Bronson, passed away Tuesday afternoon, May 6, 2025, at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo.
He was born March 18, 1971 in Oklahoma City, son of Bobby Dale and Margaret A. (Whitlow) Hughes.
Ronnie resided in Bronson for the past three years, coming from Sturgis.
He had been employed at several area manufacturing companies and for the past few years he really enjoyed working as a member of the ground keeping crew at Green Valley Golf Course in Sturgis.
Ronnie enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting, and loved playing golf and time spent with Lisa and their two puppies: Justice and Bruiser.
He is survived by his 19-year soulmate: Lisa Jacobs of Bronson; father: Bobby Dale Hughes; brothers; Frank (Franci) Hughes of White Pigeon and Harold (Joanne) Spradlin of Albion, Indiana; sisters: Sherri Hill of Stuart, Florida, Susan (William) Staton of Clearwater, Florida and Bobbi (Brandon) Sperry of Arkansas and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother; sisters: Debra Grantham and Becky Whitlow and brothers: Eddie Hughes and Johnny Hughes.
In honoring Ronnie’s wishes, cremation will take place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date to be announced.
