Thomas William Lee, age 80, of Burr Oak, passed away at his home on Thursday, May 29, 2025.
Thomas was born on October 31, 1944, in Three Rivers, a son to the late He was a lifelong resident of Burr Oak.
Thomas worked for more than 30 years at Ross Labs in Sturgis, as a powerhouse engineer. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Colon and served as vice president for some time. He also was an elder at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Centreville. Thomas was a major supporter of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League. He was also involved in many missions and supported many more. In his younger years, Thomas was a big baseball player. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and watching sports.
On November 23rd, 1979, Thomas married his wife of 45 years, Jeanne Burton, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Centreville.
Surviving Thomas are his wife, Jeanne Burton-Lee of Burr Oak; nephews Jeffery Lee of Chicago, Logan, and Harrison; nieces Julia, Amanda, and Susan; and several great-nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Frank and Florence, Thomas was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Lee, and a nephew, Chris Lee.
A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at 1:00 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Colon with Pastor Kurt Kuhlmann officiating. Interment will follow in Burr Oak Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorial donations be directed to LWML-St. Paul’s Colon or Feed My Starving Children Michiana. Envelopes will be available at the church.
