US-12 road project in Sturgis

Michigan Department of Transportation recently provided details related to an upcoming project on U.S. 12 in Sturgis.

Starting next week, there will be single-lane closures between Big Hill Road and South Maple Street. An additional lane closure will be in place between Jacob Street and Broadus Road, MDOT officials said.

The lane closure will be in place over a 12-hour period starting at 7 a.m.

MDOT officials said U.S. 12 traffic will be detoured on Franks Road, East Fawn River Road and M-66.

Meanwhile, M-66 traffic will be detoured on West Lafayette Street, North Clay Street and Memorial Drive.
