Wilburn Douglas Grimes, age 44, of Sturgis, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon, May 27, 2025, at Ascension Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo.
He was born May 9, 1981, in Madisonville, Kentucky, son of William Chris and Rosena June (Williams) Grimes.
Will resided in the Sturgis and Burr Oak area since 1990.
On March 4, 2005, he married Crystal Julien in Centreville.
Will was a talented welder by trade and was currently employed by Forest River in Middlebury.
He enjoyed fishing, working on cars and found great joy when he was helping others in their time of need.
Will is survived by his loving and dedicated wife of 20 years: Crystal; daughters: Summer Grimes, Crysta Grimes and Destiny Grimes; mother: Rosena Williams of Toledo; father William Grimes of Sturgis; sisters: Cyndi (JP) Wolf of Fort Wayne, and Jennifer (Matt) Osfalg of Toledo; brothers: William Chris Grimes, II of Sturgis and Richard Thomas Grimes of Colon, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces and nephews.
In accordance with family wishes cremation has taken place. Private family services will be held at a later date.
