Michael John Didelot, age 77, of Three Rivers, passed away Monday, June 30, 2025, at Centrica Rose Arbor Place surrounded by his loving family.
He was born June 16, 1948 in Chesterton, Indiana the son of Edward and Claire (Smith) Didelot, and graduated from Chesterton High School. In his early years, he enjoyed time with his siblings, sport, fishing, and hunting.
Mike worked as a pipefitter for many years at Midwest Steel. He loved the camaraderie with his coworkers and solving problems.
On January 29, 1994, he married Elaine Jackson. Together they enjoyed traveling and spending time outdoors.
Mike was very involved at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and with the Knights of Columbus. His hobbies included anything outdoors and all things Notre Dame.
He will be remembered most for his humor, demeanor, and willingness to lend a hand.
Remaining to cherish his memory are his wife, Elaine Didelot; sons, Joe Didelot and Sam Ivey; daughters, Katie Ivey and Aimee (John) Powell; grandchildren, Christopher, Brittini, Marissa, Nickolas, Gabriella, Emma, and Abel; great-grandchildren, Aubrie, Ally, Alex, and Weston; brothers, Robert Didelot, John Didelot, and Thom Didelot; and sister, Sandy Howard.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by his brother, Richard Didelot.
Mike’s family will receive friends Thursday, July 3, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Hohner Funeral Home, 1004 Arnold St., Three Rivers. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 645 S. Douglas Ave., Three Rivers.
Donations in Mike’s memory may be directed to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and the church.
