Ruby I. Miller, age 84, of Centreville, died on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at Thurston Woods Village in Sturgis. She was born February 7, 1941 in Goshen, a daughter of Edward and Mary (Chupp) Hershberger. Ruby graduated from Goshen High School in 1959. On June 5,1960 she married Christy J. Miller. He preceded her in death November 16, 1970. Ruby later married Freeman Miller on June 8, 1973.
Ruby was a proud homemaker and farm wife, as well as working as a pie maker and E&K Restaurant and for G&H Industries both in Centreville. She was a member of Centreville Baptist Church and loved to study Bible Prophecy. She also enjoyed bird watching, traveling, especially by train, meeting people, and assisting with transportation for those who were in need, and genealogy research.
Surviving are her husband Freeman Miller, Centreville, son Rick (Beth) Miller, Leonidas , daughter Kelly Snelson, Centreville, grandchildren Christopher (Kristin) Fairchild, Lee Fairchild, Jared Fairchild, Hannah (Michael) Kandolf, Abby Miller and Bryce Miller, great grandchildren James, Evelyn and Haven, and brother Freeman Hershberger.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Christy J. Miller.
Relatives and friends will be received on Friday, June 13, from 3 to 6 pm at Eley Funeral Home in Centreville. Religious services will be held Saturday, June 14, at 10 am at Centreville Baptist Church with Pastor Shane Burns and Pastor David Peterson officiating. Private burial will take place at Fairhaven Mennonite Cemetery, (Thomas Cemetery), in Goshen.
